In accordance with the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law (Act 3 of 2008), public records of the Altoona Municipal Emergency Department (AMED) are available for access and duplication upon written request.

Requests for records must be submitted in writing and may be sent by:

AMED accepts the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records (OOR) Standard Right-to-Know Request Form, available at:
https://www.openrecords.pa.gov/Documents/RTKL/RTKRequestForm.pdf

Use of the standard form is required.

AMED will respond to all written requests within five (5) business days as required by the Right-to-Know Law.

If additional time is needed, AMED may invoke a lawful extension in accordance with the Act.

Fees for duplication and other services are established in accordance with the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records fee schedule.

A copy of the fee schedule is available upon request. 

If a request is denied in whole or in part, the requester may file an appeal with:

Appeals must be filed within fifteen (15) business days of the mailing date of the agency’s response.
